The Healthcare Commission Charter - Draft for comment
The Healthcare Commission has developed a charter, setting out its overarching aims of being professional and helpful; of being informative, accurate and timely; and of being a learning organisation. The charter underpins the way we go about our business and the way we deal with everyone we come into contact with, both within and outside the organisation. We welcome comment on this charter for our commissioners to review in January 2008.

Independent and fair
We are independent and fair in our decision making and report what we find without fear or favour.
Accountable
We are accountable for our actions and for what we achieve in relation to our costs.
