About us

People we work with

The Healthcare Commission works with a range of other inspection bodies and healthcare organisations. By working together, we can increase the effectiveness of our work.

Concordat to reduce the burden of inspection

The Healthcare Commission has published an agreement between the main healthcare inspection, review and audit bodies in England, aimed at reducing the burden of inspection on frontline healthcare staff.

Advisors

The Healthcare Commission recognises that its advisors play a crucial role in helping it achieve success. Advisors is the new umbrella term for all those who bring experience, skills, knowledge and expertise to support us in the delivery of our work programmes but are not permanent employees. They were previously known by a variety of titles for example reviewers and associates.

Health and social care review studies programme

The Healthcare Commission is working with the National Audit Office, the Audit Commission and the Commission for Social Care Inspection to promote improvement in patient care and efficiency in the NHS and public health. We are working with increasing collaboration on our national level studies of health and social care and have jointly set out our combined programme of national studies for 2006/2007 and our approach for 2007/2008.
