Developing the annual health check in 2007/2008

Consultation closed on April 20th 2007.

On March 9th 2007, we began the consultation on our proposals for the annual health check in 2007/2008. The consultation document was widely circulated, with over 1,500 copies distributed and more than 2,000 visits to the online version.

We also held six consultation workshops to give representatives from patient and public groups and NHS organisations the opportunity to discuss and debate our proposals and to offer feedback. We also considered this feedback in our analysis. Attendees included representatives from national voluntary organisations and patient and public involvement forums, and from acute, mental health, learning disability, ambulance and primary care trusts.

Overall, we received 147 written submissions from a range of respondents, including healthcare organisations, other regulatory bodies, members of the public, Royal Colleges, professional bodies and the voluntary sector.
