National survey of adult inpatients 2007

This is the fifth survey of inpatients to be carried out since 2002. Just under 76,000 patients took part in the 2007 survey, which is a response rate of 56%. The results of the survey offer a valuable insight into the experiences of inpatients, and can be used to improve the quality of the care they receive in hospital.

We have produced a number of supporting documents for the 2007 survey:

4. Trust-by-trust comparative scores

Below you can also see an Excel worksheet of each trust’s scores for questions in the survey.  This information is used to produce the benchmark reports (below). You can use this worksheet to compare trusts’ performance on survey questions, although we advise you to refer to the benchmark reports for the precise percentage results and other detail (such as the confidence intervals, the number of respondents and to compare an individual trust’s results with national results).
