Patient survey results

Understanding what patients think about the care and treatment they receive is crucial to improving the quality of care being delivered by the NHS. We do this by asking patients who have recently used their local health services to tell us about their experiences.

Through our surveys of patients we are building up a national picture of people’s experience that will allow us to compare the performance of different organisations, changes over time and variations between different patient groups.

Results of surveys of patients:

Emergency care

Ambulance patients

Diabetes services

Heart disease care

Stroke services

Mental health services

Primary care services (e.g. GPs, midwives and dentists)

Inpatients

Outpatients

Services for children

Maternity services
