Register of accountable officers and notification form

Under the new legislation, all NHS healthcare providers and independent hospitals must appoint an accountable officer to be responsible for the management of controlled drugs and related governance issues in their organisation. They must also notify the Healthcare Commission in writing on the appointment of, and any future changes of, their accountable officer.
