On July 27th 2005 the Healthcare Commission published the 2005 NHS performance ratings on acute, specialist, ambulance, mental health and primary care trusts (PCTs) in England, assessing performance in the year ending 31 March 2005.

2002/2003 NHS Star ratings
In 2002/2003, the Commission for Health Improvement (CHI) awarded star ratings to all acute, specialist, mental health, ambulance and primary care trusts. The ratings were based on the organisation’s performance against a range of indicators during 2002/2003.
