Following up the 2005/2006 Joint Review of Community Mental Health Services

In 2008/2009 the Healthcare Commission will begin tracking progress on some of its past service reviews that were carried out in 2005/2006. The first three to be covered are:

• Children’s services
• Community Mental Health
• Medicines management in acute and specialist trusts.

More details will be available on this in early 2008, but part of the work for following up the Community Mental Health review involves re-running the 2005/2006 audit relating to the NICE guideline for Schizophrenia (2002), and it is important that relevant trusts are informed now about the preparation for this.
