Local reports on quality in ward staffing

The local reports are intended to provide some basic data about the quality of care, environment and facilities.

The indicators are compared between trusts in a locality as this is likely to be the most relevant group for patients and the public and are selected so that comparisons within this group are valid. The indicators are not intended to provide a summary of overall performance; neither do they necessarily show that trusts are 'good' or 'bad'.  There may be good reasons why trusts differ, so the indicators should be used to raise questions about performance rather than provide definitive answers.

Accessing the reports

You can select a particular trust and download a report for that trust by clicking on the link below.

From the linked page, simply click the letter in the list for the name of the trust you want (they are listed alphabetically by the name of the trust) and select the department from the names that appear.  If you left-click the trust's link it will open the document on screen in PDF format (see note on the right about reading PDF files).  You can also right-click the link and select 'Save target as' to save the file to the hard disk of your computer.
