Surveys information for healthcare providers
This page gives an overview of our national surveys of NHS patients and staff. The findings provide a valuable picture, at both the national and local levels, of patients' experiences of healthcare and the attitudes and experiences of the people who deliver this care.

Results of surveys of NHS staff
The survey of NHS staff in England provides information on the attitudes and experiences of staff in the NHS. Almost 156,000 employees (a response rate of 54%) responded to the fifth national survey in 2007.
The results can be used to improve working conditions and practices in healthcare services, leading to an improvement in the quality of care provided to patients.
