Audit of equalities publications
We have carried out two audits of trusts’ websites, first in 2006 and again in 2007, to see whether trusts have published the information required by the specific duties of equalities legislation. The original audit concentrated on race equality schemes; the most recent audit also looks at disability equality schemes.

Dignity in care
This study, carried out in Spring 2007, looks at whether hospitals are complying with standards relating to dignity in care, including those covering basic needs such as nutrition.

Study of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
A national study of the care and treatment available for people with COPD in England, which we carried out in 2005 as a wider programme of work focusing on services for people with long term conditions or chronic disease. Published in June 2006.
